Of course you want to stay fit and healthy during pregnancy, but you don’t want to overdo it either. How do you find that balance?
I tried out several different pregnancy workout DVDs over the course of my past 6 pregnancies and compiled a list of the best ones. (Yes, I do have 6 kids.)
Now you can stay strong, flexible and help keep the excess pounds off without too much effort. Plus, these workouts are fun! Who could ask for more than that?
These are my top 3 favorite pregnancy workouts…
10 Minute Solution: Prenatal Pilates Review
10 Minute Solution: Prenatal Pilates is by far my favorite and is one of the best pregnancy workout DVDs I have ever used. It has 5 mini-workouts that are 10 minutes each. I can set it to just run one or I can customize it to run 2, 3 or even all 5 workouts in a row without stopping. When I had a lot of energy I did the entire workout DVD (all 5 workouts). When I was more fatigued I just stuck to one 10-minute workout.
What I particularly love is the fact that my heart doesn’t start racing. I don’t like over heating myself or getting my heart rate up too much while pregnant. This was perfect! Plus, I actually saw my legs, buns and arms really starting to firm up.
It wasn’t too hard for to pick up on even if you didn’t exercise before pregnancy and it isn’t so easy that you feel like you aren’t getting worked out. You could use this one DVD and get a different 10-minute workout 5 days a week, that way you always have a bit of variety so you don’t get bored.
Summer Sanders’ Prenatal Workout Review
Summer Sanders’ Prenatal Workout is another amazing program for pregnant mothers-to-be. The instructor in this video is an Olympic gold metalist and is fit as a fiddle, if only I looked that fit during my pregnancy!
This is one of those pregnancy workout DVDs where there is a separate workout for each trimester. So you always know which one to use in order to push your body yet not harm your pregnancy. The specially formulated exercises will help keep you toned and ease away any back pain you may have.
Unlike other pregnancy workouts on the market, this one has the perfect balance between hard and easy that I am confident you’ll really appreciate. There is nothing better than feeling like an athlete while pregnant.
The Perfect Pregnancy Workout Vol. 1 Review
I’ll admit it, I almost didn’t even try Perfect Pregnancy Workout vol. 1 because of its cheesy DVD cover. I am really glad I didn’t miss out on it.
The instructor is a Cirque du Soleil acrobat who is actually quite pleasant to workout with. Even if you aren’t at her level of fitness you don’t need to worry, there are beginner, intermediate and advanced versions of all the exercises.
Each of the videos I featured have different qualities, this was my sculpting workout to really work on my muscles and keep them toned and strong and I recommend you use it at least once a week.
